When I was a kid, we had a prism of the small handheld "Look, it separates white light into rainbows! SCIENCE!" variety.

I used to walk around the house holding it in front of my eyes so everything looked like it was tipped away from me. (And of course separate various light sources into rainbows.)

To the extent that I have a spirituality, it is mostly expressed through compost.

It sounds weird when I put it that way, but it's really classic circle of life, old useless things being broken down into parts for new life, season cycle pagan kind of stuff. I just feel it most on the breaking down part of the cycle.

My screen name (from back in the day on AOL when that is what they were called, and it was a big deal to reveal your legal name on the internet) came first, and the superhero secret identity that went with it came slightly later, in middle school.

The superhero is a limited shapeshifter, and eventually we decided she ought to marry the less-limited shapeshifter who was one of the running villains. They had twins.

Pizza.

I like pizza with as many vegetables on it as you can cram in there! Pineapple is not a vegetable; it is a fruit. Mushrooms are not a vegetable; they are fungi. Everything else is fair game. I am especially fond of olives.

We have a sector of the silverware drawer devoted to plastic cutlery, because the kids like it. There are forks, spoons, and a few sporks in there. I am looking forward to the day when both kids are done with plastic and happy with metal.
