The wood that I gave Cathy is cocobolo. Poison ivy itself does not produce any immediate tingling effect, so I would be quite certain what you were feeling was psychosomatic. Or possibly just because it's startlingly dense. :)
Also, for future reference, we have a bag of pecans in the freezer; you'd have been quite welcome to go get them if needed.
