A very satisfyingly crafty few days

I shall wait to post pictures of the Tiny Art until it's all arrived at its destinations, but I have been having an excellent time creating things the last few days. I am all done with the requests, but I am not tired of making art. If you want some Tiny Art, back up a post and leave a comment!

Here are some more watercolors I did recently so you have something to look at in the meantime.

Next I want to paint the chickens, but they move around too much for me to sketch from life, so I have been trying to get good photos to work from. The weather has not been tremendously cooperative about good lighting for subtle color variations, but I think I got a few this afternoon that should work.

I keep hearing similar stories, but most of my mail has been arriving pretty quickly and reliably (with the exception of things that have to cross a border).

Mine arrived today, and I feel my "sun in splendor" could hardly be more splendid! Thank you!

I do have to confess that when I first took it out of the envelope, my immediate reaction was, "...well, it's kinda avant-garde..." and then I turned it over and it was like, oh — this is the side I'm meant to be looking at.

Anyway, I especially like the shiny tips on the rays. This is just the thing for the gray and miserably cold weather we have been having.

(I'll admit that as a boy raised in the SF Bay Area and currently living in Texas, my notion of "miserably cold" would make people in Minnesota snicker, if not belly-laugh.)
